Kinsterna Hotel & Spa, Greece

This brand new 27-room mansion turned hotel was renovated to reflect its Byzantine, Ottoman, Venetian and modern Greek pasts. Near the castlelike town of Monemvasia in the southern Peloponnese, where cliffs, mountains and ocean all gorgeously collide, this refined spot very much reflects its surroundings: beautiful, sunny and relaxing.

Housed in a stunning stone mansion amid rolling hills near the medieval fortress village of Monemvasia, you’d never find Kinsterna on your own. As one would expect in this part of the world, the 27-room retreat is surrounded by thriving olive and citrus groves where guests are encouraged to gather oranges, grapes, figs, pomegranates, quince and mulberries.
