Tiara Yaktsa, Cannes

It’s all about romance at the 21-room Tiara Yaktsa, which has a secluded hillside spot near a pint-size village on the French Riviera. All the rooms are expansive and subdued, but the main draw is the ever-present view of the beaches below and the yacht-strewn Mediterranean Sea. It’s hard to imagine tiring of lounging by the infinity pool or on a private Balinese-style daybed, but the hotel’s friendly staff can also set up shopping, boating and art-focused excursions.

Classic Rooms are 236 square feet with Moroccan-inspired touches and balconies

Afternoons are best spent lounging by the infinity pool or on a private Balinese daybed

L'Or Bleu, the hotel's restaurant, serves a mix of Mediterranean and Asian fare
